Wasn't Zezel a hungarian, not a serb?
I lack information for Marcetta, or Mick. Glumac's great grandparents were serbian for example... does that make him a serb anymore? They probably interbred with other groups, and the guy does not know anything serbian. So, I would really question if we can call him or these others serbian anymore. Same deal with radivojevic - he represents slovakia and I really question if he knows anything about serbia.

Zezel was definitely of Serbian background, his memorial service was held in a Serbian Orthodox church.
I think the purpose of this thread (and the OP (Bledoliki) can correct me if I'm wrong) is more to mention various current and former NHLers of Serbian background. Whether they are "pure 100% Serbian" or how much they are/were in touch with the language/culture/traditions is largely irrelevant. Plus it's pretty hard to determine unless you personally know these guys or someone very close to them. I mean, for all I know, Milan Lucic may not speak a word of Serbian, may have never gone to Serbia to visit his relatives, etc.. and he's a 1st generation Serbian-Canadian. Would that make him less of a Serb? For some people yes, for others (including myself) no, but it can be debated, but such a debate would have nothing to do with hockey.
Back on topic, there are few other current and former NHLers that I am not sure about since their names could be Serbian but they could also be of another background:
Wayne and Dave Babych (played in the NHL in the 70s and 80s)
Peter_Popovic (born and raised in Sweden, played in the NHL for a few years in the mid-late 90s)
Also, the Wikipedia page of Calgary Flames defenseman Cory Sarich says that he's of Croatian descent, however if you look under categories at the bottom of the page, he's also listed under "Serbian Canadians" category

O.K. LLL, please, do not play “smart” games here. Please, do not start discussion about something that this thread is not about.
First – learn to read what other people wrote before answering at all.
It says above - SERBS AND SERBIAN ORIGINS NHL players. I think it is very clear.
We already did research, if you could just read again my post, so all of them are Serbs or Serbian origin or born in Serbia.
I get very angry when someone make remarks as you did so I am not in a mood for discussion with you about this at all, cause it would lead to something that I really do not want. Not to mention that thinking of Zezel as Hungarian shows how much you know about Serbian heritage, aside hockey (it’s like I would say that someone with last name Ataturk could be Russian).
Cat 5 obviously has more patients so I think he explained you nicely and clearly everything you should know about this and I totally agree with his remarks.
Since you speak (and write) Serbian very well (as I’ve seen on this site), I assume you are by far greater Serb than any of all mentioned above in a first post, eh? Are you? That also mean that you could replay in very same thread that exist in Serbian and not here which is meant for those who does not speak our language.
So if I may suggest to you, please, do not replay anymore here but if you really have to, do it in thread where Serbian is written pod Razno – Srbi u NHL.
Помаже Бог, брате Србине!

Mark Popovic
http://sports.yahoo....hl/players/2928
He is from Stoney Creek, this is were large Serbian population resides and yes he does speak Serbian.
As far as (pokojni) Zezelj goes just a small fact to LLL: he formed Serbian White Eagles Hockey Club that participates in cmhl. Small league that organizes tournament every year on Dec. 27 to Dec. 30. God willing I will be able to tape and post some of the games for you guys on this forum.

Oh no, here we go again... that Joker Wiberg dude will be here very soon to explain that Marc Popovic is Croatian (which is actually true), and then accuse you of claiming that Joe Sakic is Serbian as well.

Future (hopefully) NHL'er...
Selected for Home Hardware CHL Top Prospect game, 6'3'' D-man, draft eligible in 2010

check out the "favorite food"
Unless of course Joker determined that he's a Croat, in which case I sincerely apologize
